Document Imaging Privacy & Security: 3SG Server Security

Secure LAN

3SG’s local area network (LAN) is divided into virtual local area networks (VLAN) and internal data traffic is controlled and managed by a Cisco layer-3 switch.

Secure Network

Individual workstations, servers, email, web applications and network are secured from intrusion via a server assigned user ID. This is controlled through the use of Active Directory to create and manage accounts. Server access is restricted by username and password and is monitored by 3SG IT associates.

Secure E-mail

The e-mail infrastructure is based on the Microsoft Exchange server. Web applications are housed on our corporate Intranet and are not accessible without a secure user ID and login. Users are given user permissions within the Intranet to access only those areas pertaining to their job functions.

Secure Citrix Servers

The Citrix Presentation Server enables 3SG’s IT associates to centrally deploy and manage business applications with secure, on-demand access to these resources, along with the highest security, and the best performance.

Secure Encryption

3SG offshore associates use an encrypted tunnel to log into servers located at 3SG locations in the U.S.

Secure Images and Data

  • The Network is internal only; no data or images are sent outside the 3SG network.
  • Images and data are kept secure with hardware, software, and network security including NTFS permissions.
  • The transfer of all sensitive data is secured by SSL and SSH transmittal modes.
  • 3SG Administrative areas are secured by a firewall.
